Raid0 to Raid1
Hi,
I have HP DL 360 G5 server. It has SA p400i embedded raid controller.Unfortunately a logical drive created using with only 1 SAS drive and OS installed on it. I have a second SAS drive and want to add this drive to existing array and migrate it online to Raid level 1 to have a redundant raid system.
Does p400i array controller support this?
And if yes how can i do this ?
thanks...

Re: Raid0 to Raid1
hi
what you can do is open Array Configuration utility and check how the existing HDDs is recognize by this utility....
if it is recognized as RAID 0 then you can go RAID 1 (migration) since p400 can and can not support migration since it needs cache (BBWC) in order to do a migration
Online RAID level migration (with BBWC upgrade)

Battery-backed write cache upgrade

512MB Battery-backed write cache upgrade
