Raid1 on HP ProLiant BL20p G3
I have an HP ProLiant BL20p G3 server with a Raid1 and Checkpoint SecureRemote installation on it.
problem is that one hard disk is failing and since the OS isnt windows or any standard linux i have no access to the RAID management.
Question is...if i just replace the failing hard disk, will the Raid controller rebuild the second disk by itself?

Re: Raid1 on HP ProLiant BL20p G3
If the disk fault LED is blinking red, power off the server an then replace the disk. It will rebuild automatically too.
If you cannot run the online tools, you can boot with Smartstart CD and run ACU or ADU from there.

Which Flavor of Linux are you talking about?
IF GUI doesn't work, You may try the CLI as well.

Re: Raid1 on HP ProLiant BL20p G3
So i am guessing HP utilities cannot be installed on it...
The question is if the scsi hardware will do the job by itself.
