Re: Random Reboots - DL380 G3
To date I've replaced all the RAM (4gb), new hot swap power supplies (2), new fans (6), two new CPUs (down to 2.6 instead of 3.2), replaced the power conditioners (2), and purchased another UPS so both power supplies are on "clean" power. The record was 10 days up without a reboot, with the new power conditioner boards, but it unexpectedly (no logs) rebooted while I was running windows 7 in vmware on Suse 10.3.
I'm throwing in the towel, and as much as I don't want to, I have started migrating to a new vendor server.

Re: Random Reboots - DL380 G3
All I need is c:\windows\minidumps last .dmp file or C:\windows\memory.dmp
This way I can tell you about the error. Sorry, but no Linux help here.

Re: Random Reboots - DL380 G3
I have a DL380 G3 that randomly reboots.
Mine sounds a little different from those described here though. When thermally-cold the machine can boot successfully. Before too long the machine will, without warning, flash red on the disks (RAID 5i+, mirror 1) and the SCSI backpane and proceed to boot again. The warmer the machine gets, and that's not very, the shorter the up time is. Before too long it can't get past grub (linux).
The same problem is produced with or without iLO connection, SCSI backpane populated with disks or Smart Array 5i Plus Memory Module.
There are no errors in the iLO-accessed Integrated Management Log.
I think the machine is destined for the parts bin. I would appreciate your thoughts though.
Regards
Fog_Watch.

It may be because the battery module cache 128?
But because the caching module has a battery?
