Re : system management homepage help
Hi Guys,
can someone help, I have a Hp Proliant DL320 running on windows 2003 enterprise 64bit os and is a PDC controller. Before I promote it to PDC my system management home page still can run. But, after I promoted it, first I cannot login the system home page with the local admin account and then even if I can log-in with the domain account it does not display the hardware info. it only display no failed item\system degraded.
Please advice???
Regards
Vincent

Re: Re : system management homepage help
Hi Vincent,
Once the server is part of the domain we need to use the domain account only to login into the System Management Homepage( SMH). SMH uses the windows authentication to login(i.e "domainname\useraccount").
1 Open SNMP Service->Security Tab and ensure that Public and Private community strings are defined. In SNMP service goto Traps Tab. Under Traps destination add-> Localhost or 127.0.0.1
2 Restart all HP Services. Gives 3-5 mins for the agents to collect the information.
3 Login into SMH and check if it has all the information.
Check if this helps.
Regards,
Raj.
