ReadyforRebuild since 2 hours...

Hello

My configuration :

Proliant ML 370
Smart 431 (rev 1.24) :
- Raid 1 with 2 HD 9,1 GO Ultra 3
- Raid 5 with 3 HD 9,1 GO Ultra 3

ID2 Port 1 is HS (red led) (it's the first disk of the Raid5)
Hot swap => the disk is in state "ReadyforRebuild"

The state never change and in CPQACU i didn't see Rebuilding.

Thanks!

Re: ReadyforRebuild since 2 hours...

Are the HDs all on the same RPM speed?

FYI. There has been different version for the 9.1GB disk drives avaiable years ago --- But I remember distintively that different speed hard disks (although all 9.1GB in size) have different physical size. So if it is the smaller version then it would cause impact on the recovery. I cannot remember what speed correspond to the smaller hard drives --- but you can always stick in a bigger capacity disks and let the recovery begin.

Re: ReadyforRebuild since 2 hours...

Hello
I will have to replace the 3 disks into only once and to make a restore of the data.
Is it necessary to reconfigure the RAID Smart 431 or not?
Will the configuration of the 3 disks of RAID 5 be preserved on the RAID Smart 431 or not?
Thanks.
