Rebuilding a array raid 5

Hi,

There are certain instances where the online spare drive would not kick-in. This could be due to configuration, old firmware issues.

This could be one of the reason.

Another reason is that before the spare completes the rebuild another drive could have failed.

It's recommended to have a regular maintenance to update the proliant support pack and firmware of the server.
