Receive Bandwidth problem on DL585 G7 with SPP201302 for Win 2008 R2
Hi,
is anyone else experiencing problems with the driver HP QLogic P3P Multifunction Driver for Windows Server 2008 R2 Version: 4.7.17.926 (19 Feb 2013) included in the SPP201302?
After the driver was applied to the HP NC375i Integrated Quad Port on DL 585 G7, the Receive bandwidth dropped to around 40 Kbps. Downgrading to the version Version: 4.6.17.502 (4 Sep 2012) solved the bandwidth problem.

Same problem. When I down grade to 4.6.17.502, performance returns. NCU won't open stating miniport driver must be at least 4.7.16.907.

Re: Receive Bandwidth problem on DL585 G7 with SPP201302 for Win 2008 R2
HI,
Could you isolate the issue by disabling LRO functionality, with the latest driver?
NIC properties under the Advanced tab:
Large Receive Offload: Disabled
If this resolves the issue then you may contact HP for a more qualified answer.
Srini.

Re: Receive Bandwidth problem on DL585 G7 with SPP201302 for Win 2008 R2
We had this same issue and after 2 days on MicoSoft and HP support have resolved it by the following:
1. Go to the device manager and get to the properties of everyone of your QLogic network cards (we have both 1gb and 10gb) and disable the LRO setting. This will blip your network connection for every card that you ahve to change - wait it out.
2. Install CP018359 from HP
3. Download the LDRInstaller from Microsoft and install that
4. Request the hotfix from Microsoft for KB2684681 - email retieval only on this one
5. Extract the hotfix and install it using the LDRInstaller
All of these need to be done as the Administrator. You will need to restart after each installation.
Until this was done you could have intermittent network drops as well as possible persistent reservations that require vendor intervention to remove - we had this. Had to repair all of our SAN drives as well.
Hopefully - you will catch your issues before any SAN connection problems arise.
We just resolved this on Monday 3/25/13

Re: Receive Bandwidth problem on DL585 G7 with SPP201302 for Win 2008 R2
QLogic have provided HP with an updated driver version 4.7.18.131 that is now publicly available but only on an FTP site:
Please update the driver and check if the issue is resolved.
