Receiving alert in W2k3 server related to storage agent
Checked and found that the fiber host channel status change in event log.
We are receiving this alert we often when the reboot of the system. also the alert keeps changing to normal state.
Since i could not able to attached the file in ITRC.
let me know email id i can fwd the logs.
Event - "The fibre channel controller in slot 2 has new status 6"
event 2- Hp requires that you apply a software/firmware updated. contains critical bug fix.[SNMP trap:11014 in CPQhost:MIB]

Re: Receiving alert in W2k3 server related to storage agent
Hi ganessan,
It appears you need to upgrade the driver and/or firmware for this fiber channel HBA.
Check this post for more information:

good luck.

Re: Receiving alert in W2k3 server related to storage agent
Please find the below info:
HBA CARD: Qlogic
Model : QLA2340
Driver : 9.1.3.16
Firmware Version: 3.03.21
Bios Version : 1.43
we had installed the latest firmware, but still we are facing the same issue.
Kindly investigate further
