Red Hat 8.0 on 1850r
I've gone through the Smartstart to do the initial setup of the 1850r server. I am now at the point where I am going through the Red Hat installation, but when the installation probes for the monitor the installation seems to hang. I have tried to run with noprobe and bypassing the monitor probe, but I am still hanging at the same area? How do I get the Red Hat installation to recognized the monitor or by pass the probe process?

Re: Red Hat 8.0 on 1850r
Hello Dennis,
As of now RH8.0 is not supported on some of our older server line and PL1850R is one of them. RH 7.0 is supported on this server if you would like to install it.
Regards,

Re: Red Hat 8.0 on 1850r
Try 'linux nofb nousb' at the boot prompt, when the installation is asking text versus gui install. It work with RH 9.0 install on my 1850.
Good luck....
