Redhat 9 (shirke) on DL380

Hi,

I have a basic DL380 PIII 800 x2 procs and I want to run Redhat 9 (shrike) on it, but looking here:
http://h18004.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/index.html
and here:
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/family/model/1122.html?locale=en_US&prodSeriesId=254889

The highest the software goes up to is Redhat 8. Will any of the old software work on RH9 (eg. the RH8 software) and would it be advisable to use RH8 instead.

Thanks in advance,
Bill

Re: Redhat 9 (shirke) on DL380

I'd suggest sticking with RH8. There are still a number of HP drivers for Redhat 8.0, whereas RH9 was never supported. Everything you'll need for your system is available at:
