Redundancy NIC Card

I put NC3123 into ML350 and set it to redundancy with embedded NC3163.But when i test to disconnect cable from embedded NC3163 another machine must wait for few second to access the server ,so the connection not strong .it will lost for few second and comeback again, looply..(OS is MS Windows 2000 server)
