Redundant Power Supply

I heve just installed a second power supply to my Proliant ML350 Server and I need to know how they work, I mean, which of them is the main power supply?

hello carlos;

when the second RPS was present your server will be redundancy of power.
so no main power and when one become failure yours still operatred but quickky to replace to restore the server performent.

Both power supplies working in your machine primary level if u remove any one power supply then second power supply take over the system your system not power down

Dear csanchez,

There is no concept like main /secondary power supply in redundancy PS. As It is N+1, if ANY one fails the other would be enough for the sever to work.
