Redundant fan for ML110 Gen10
Hi,
I bought a second set of fans for my ML110 Gen10.
These are the original fans pulled from the new ML110 Gen10.
Now I wonder if if I have 4x fans for this server, can I put together two fans and install them as a redundant fan.
Can I do this or should I buy a redundant fan kit from HPE?

Re: Redundant fan for ML110 Gen10
Hi,
I don't think this works, if you look in the QuickSpec, you find these Notes:
HPE ProLiant ML110 Gen10 Server
HPE ML110 Gen10 350W ATX Power Supply Kit
HPE ML110 Gen10 550W ATX Power Supply Kit
Notes: ATX power supply will not support the redundant fan option.
HPE ML110 Gen10 Redundant Power Supply Enablement Kit
Notes: This kit is also required to support an optional redundant fan kit.
So first you need a "non ATX" Power Supply, the Enablement Kit, and the Red. Fan kit.

Re: Redundant fan for ML110 Gen10
I am very happy!
I will install additional fans today or tomorrow.
I will get a second cage on Monday so I will be able to install more disks.

Don't miss understand: Your Power Supply will work with the redundant fan option.

Re: Redundant fan for ML110 Gen10
Thanks for your help!
I think I know how this mode works.
Quick one.
Do you have a photo of your redundant fans?
I'm not sure how to put them together.

Re: Redundant fan for ML110 Gen10
Thanks.
Do you have a SAS cable number? I have to order one today and my cable has a damaged label.
