Regarding DL 580 installation

When i am trying to install win 2003 on a DL 580, After the first restart(After the file copying) it does'nt boot from the HDD,It is showing an error message "INSERT PROPER BOOT DEVICE",If i keep OS CD in the drive it starts booting again from the ROM and this step will continue

Hi Sminto,

in server BIOS set device boot priority to your boot device, than save conf pressing F10.

Dont press enter key after the first reboot when it ask for the

"press the enter key to boot from CD"

Check your cmos settings also for selecting the order of boot devices.
