Remaining support for retired Proliant server products

Hi,

I administer several 'old' Proliant servers at a customer's location. I need now a driver in order to be able to move the management to buy new machines. Can someone tell me if HP is about to cease hardware and/or software support on machines like PL1600, 1850, 3000, ML530, DL360, DL380, and if yes, when? All machines are P II, P III and even on P Pro.

Thanks for your answer

Re: Remaining support for retired Proliant server products

Hi Roland;

The PL1600, PL1850 and PL300's are all considered end of life products with no warranty coverage.

The ML's and DL's may also be expired as well, depending on the serial number.

You can check them online here: http://www3.compaq.com/support/warranty_upgrades/index.asp

cheers,

Janine

Re: Remaining support for retired Proliant server products

Dear reader,

Please remove all dead links from ALL HP, HPE sites it is a mess. There are extremely lots of links at all HP sites that are not working and this has nothing to do with your split company, before this it was a mess too.

Also make a decent list, where we can read which equipment End Of Sale, End Of Support and End Of Life is and when.

to give an example: http://h17007.www1.hp.com/us/en/enterprise/servers/retired/index.aspx#.VtlNZP5wWUk This link lead to indeed retired products, but no dates at all (since when), when you click your server: example DL380G7, you land on a supported!! paged of the DL380G7. What is going wrong here?
