Remote Access

How did you manage your  Hpe Proliant server remotely?

sorry I'm still new to all of this

Hi
All HPE servers have embedded management processor called ILO ( Integrated Lights Out)
You can configure them by connecting a LAN cable to the ILO port. Once configured you can access the servers remotely. You can monitor server health, events, yoy can power on/off the server remotely. You can also login to OS using ILO remote console which uses html / java / .net

I see but how can i access it outside my network? or how can I access anywhere ?

You should not expose ILO directly to the internet.

But if you have a VPN to your network, you can use this from anywhere,

i see, do i install the vpn directly or should I first setup a VPN server ?
