Remote Insight Board/EISA (CPQ7100)

The remote insight board in our Proliant 5000r server is functioning but when we dial into it it asks for an ID and Password. The person that set the box up has left (on bad terms) and we don't know how to reset the ID/password access. We have unplugged the phone line for now but need to reconnect after we establish or change IDs on the RIB.

Unless you can find the little tag that came with the board (this has the admin password on it) you are going to have to visit the server and reset it by pressing F8 when prompted on bootup. You should be able to reset to factory defaults or set up new user accounts with the existing config. Its always a good idea to set up more than one user account to avoid scenarios like this in future.
