Remote Insight Board hangs server on reboot

I know, just don't reboot.
Cleanly instalelled W2K server with SmartStart 5.30 cd. I have two 3com 3C980 NICs, teamed fault-tolerant. After leaving the server to 'burn in' for 24hrs, the server will hang on a reboot until we remove the Remote Insight Board. Firmware on the board is 2.41b. I've run all of the updates (I think) for the server. This is happening on two servers now. Has anyone else seen this? What steps were taken to resolve this issue?
