Remotely change iLO 3 Settings via command line on another server

Hi Everyone,

We have to enable http/https access on an iLO port.

Do you have a way remotely change iLO 3 Settings via command line on another server? Any suggestion will be very much appreciated.

This is for a DL360p Gen8.

Thank you!

Noel

Re: Remotely change iLO 3 Settings via command line on another server

Hello,

you can use for example utility HPQLOCFG and an XML script file. HP made several XML script examples where suffices to change login and password and use the script.

More information about HPLOCFG and iLO scripting you can find here:

http://www.hp.com/support/ilo4_cli_gde_en

here is example of usage HPLOCFG and XML file:

HPQLOCFG.EXE -S RIB1 -F C:\...SCRIPT.XML -L RIB1LOG.TXT -V

RIB1 - DNS name or IP address of iLO interface

SCRIPT.XML - input XML file

RIB1LOG.TXT - output log file

Here is example of XML script which save iLO interface network settings to the file. Also you can use scripts which can edit iLO settings:

- <RIBCL VERSION="2.0">
- <LOGIN USER_LOGIN="adminname" PASSWORD="password">
- <RIB_INFO MODE="read">
  <GET_NETWORK_SETTINGS />
</RIB_INFO>
</LOGIN>
</RIBCL>

 XML script samples are here:
