I want to relocate an ML370 G3 to lower in the rack, but can't figure out how to release the
inner rail from the rail mount. I've looked at the manual pdf but it only shows how to put the ML370 in the rack, not take it out.

Solution
Not sure about the ML370, but with other DL models, there are usually little levers near the front of the rails that move up or down and release the catch.
So as you pull the server out of the cabinet towards you, put your hands near the front of the rails (close to the face plate of the server) and feel for levers. The will either pull towards you (square shaped) or move up and down (triangular shaped). These levers will be inside the rail that is connected to the server itself.

Re: Remove ML370 G3 from rack.
Thanks for that. I'd fiddled around with the front tabs and the levers at the sides, but I mustn't have been holding my tongue right!
