Removed_in_hot_plug
Hello
I have 3 Hp Prolient Dl 380 G5 series servers running in my company.
1. DC (2x72GB 15k RPM SAS HDD Mirrored)
2. Mail(2x72GB SAS 15k RPM HDD Mirrored)
3. Application Server(2x72GB SAS 15k RPM HDD Mirrored & 4x72 GB SAS as RAID5)
In all my servers i am getting an error 'Removed_in_hot_plug' Once in a while and because of the redundent HDD we installed in the servers the servers not going off
I wanted to know why this happens and how i can avoid this
regards
sumanlal

Re: Removed_in_hot_plug
Hi,
does it come back online right after or are
the arrays they ending up in degraded/failed mode?
Have you checked firmware versions for hdds/controller if there are newer ones out there that are not causing this?
It might be a problem with the hard drives sure but if it is happening on all then it seems more likely that it is something else.
Analyze the adu report might give some input.

Re: Removed_in_hot_plug
Ah, well then I would try with an upgrade of firmware.
