Removing a Hot Standby HDD

I wish to remove a hot standby drive from a RAID5 configuration to free up the slot. Is it possible to do this from the ACU.

I am sure in IBM server you can bring out the hotspare drive out by marking it as defunt drive. I am sure that in acu also there is one option. I think first you have to mark the drive is offline or defunt and then remove and replace the drive and then bring it back has hot spare.

Thanks Rahul but what I am trying to do is totally remove the drive so I can reuse the slot.

then in that case just mark as defunt driver and take it out. The only thing which will happen is that you will loose a hot spare. That is all.

Colin, what you need to do is remove the online spare from the array.
