Removing battery reset the smart array configuration?

Just checking. I know this resets the system ROM to its default configuration but does it also reset the smart array configuration?

Procedure to clear NVRAM using the system maintenance switch (SW1)
James already gave the position of that switch

- Power off the server
- unplug power cable
- locate SW1
- put the number 6 in ON position
- power on the server
- leave it ON for 1 - 2 minutes
- Power off the server
- unplug power cable
- put the switch 6 in OFF position again
- and test

This is regarding DL380 G2;

SW1 switch is "SCSI interlock" & not for clearing NVRAM.

I see on the picture

What I meant by SW1 is when I usually look for this switch in the maintenance guides and appears as SW1(System Maintenance Switch) not meaning the location on the picture
but it is good from you points out that because I understand audi4rings can use the the interlock when I wrote SW1

by the way audi4rings cleaning NVRAM does not affect Array configuration, the only you need to check after do this is check the boot order controller in case was any change (preferred order not configuration)

Hi,

No removing the battery will have no effect on the SmartArray configuration. That is stored on the connected hard drives.
