Removing flexiblelom embedded nic

Hi, newbie here.

I have an HPE Ethernet 1Gb 4port embedded flexiblelom installed on DL380.
Is it okay to remove the nic without turning off the server? Because we need the server to always running.

Thank You.

Re: Removing flexiblelom embedded nic

You need to remove the riser card too. You may create a glitch and damage the server seriously.

However, by removing a component like these the server will most likely panic anyway.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Don't do it, as Torsten said.

It's not HotPlug, if you have luck only the Server Crash and reboots, if not the Mainboard is dead 4ever.
