Replace SCSI-controller in ML330G3

We need to replace the Single channel SCSI-controller in our HP Proliant ML330G3 server by a Dual Channel SCSI-controlle. The OS in Windows 2000 server (sp4). One harddisk , no RAID. (A second harddisk will be added after replacing the controller).
When I replace the controller, will de OS recognize the new controller? If not, I do I force Windows 2000 to use the driver for the new controller.
What procedure will I have to follow?

this is because in the case you need to reinstall the driver
if windows does not recognize the new card

We are is the phase of looking for a suitable controller.
How do I reinstall the driver in Windows in the case windows dus not recognize the driver? In that case, will Windows boot?

install the new controller and if you got any error repair windows installation -> http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic8356.html

so when the installation ask you for third party HW press F6 and install the new driver

Finally we decided to add a second Single-channel SCSIcontroller. The second harddisk has been added to the first controller the tapestreamer is moved from the first to the second controller.
Everything is running fine!
