I tried everything and I am still stuck. So I thought if I replace the feature board, then the problem may go away with the absence of Video signal.
However, I will be grateful if someone can give me some advise in selecting the right board:
(1) My existing board (where the display does not work) currently in the server has the text 010459-001 A/W REV B FAB REV.
(2) But the two closest match I can source has the following board numbers:
- 010457-001
- 101951-001
Are they compatible? - What would happen if I say if I go for an older board (e.g. I replace the 010459 with 010457)?
(3) The picture of the one I am thinking of getting seems to have a mini daughter board attached to the 144pin socket on the board (see picture attached on the top left hand side of the board). What are these, and what difference do they make?
Thanks in advance

SolutionAccording to the part numbers I can find, the spart part number for the peripheral board should be 101951-001. 010457-001 is the assembly number.
You should be able to get it direct from HP... http://partsurfer.hp.com
As to whether it's compatible I'm not sure.
The mini daughter card attached to the socket is a SmartArray card...
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Rob

Re: Replacing a featureboard on a Proliant ML570
Thanks Rob for clarifying the assembly # vs part # and the bit about the smartarray controller.
I do in fact need the 101951-001 according to the Maintenance and Service manual (I never found the relevant section in the manual before as I was searching for feature board as opposed to peripheral board).
The http://partsurfer.hp.com site did not let me order from the country I am in - so I am going to try a second hand one from eBay.
Thanks again.

Re: Replacing a featureboard on a Proliant ML570
It is in the ProLiant ML570 Server
Maintenance and Service Guide. See under the section "Electronics Drawer System Components Spare Parts List", Page 16.
24 Peripheral board 101951-001
The other site ( http://partsurfer.hp.com ) Rob referred to give you the cross reference between the assy # and part # when you click on the part number.
