I've installed HP SIM on a 2003 Server (HP Proliand DL380 G4). I try to request HP SIM by SNMP.
I wan't to monitore the hardware state of my server with Nagios by HP SIM. When I launch a test, I've a retur that " Compaq/HP Agent Check: no cpq/hp component found".
Must I activate somethings? I've forgot an option?
Thanks for your help.

SolutionHi,
try install add-on below link.
HP Insight Management Agents for Windows Server 2003/2008
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=397634&prodNameId=3288132&swEnvOID=1005&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=MTX-bbe5d8b744f9422ea5772fb3d5
you need to enable SNMP on each of your servers. Use Add/Remove Programs to accomplish this task.
Go to Start | Control Panel | Add Or Remove Programs.
Choose Add/Remove Windows Components.
In the Windows Components window, scroll down and select Management And Monitoring Tools. Don't put a check mark in the selector box; simply select the entry.
Click Details.
Scroll down and select the check box next to Simple Network Management Protocol.
Click OK to return to the Windows Component window.
Click Next and, if prompted, insert the Windows CD.
That will also fix the problem :) Remember to assign points to answers that helped in your problem. So the forum stays alive...
Erdogan.

Re: Request SNMP on HP SIM
The software is not supported for installation on this system.
The installation program couldn't find the appropriate system management controller driver which is required but is not currently installed. Please install the appropriate system management controller driver and then rerun the setup program.
Press 'Close' to exit Setup.
Wich driver is concerned?
Thanks for your help
