Reseting ilo\rlio from with in the OS on the server
Can some one tell me how to perform a reset of a ILO or Rilo from with in both Netware and W2k/Win2003.
In the old days you had a nice pink icon in the control pannel or with netware you could use rib reset after loading cpqrisa.nlm
What do you use now with the new kit????????

Re: Reseting ilo\rlio from with in the OS on the server
This info is for Windows, since I don't have much experience with NW.
If you have a Smart Start 5.5 cd, or earlier, you can go to the root directory and copy the contents of the cpqrib folder to the system32 directory. This utility may or may not work correctly with the ILO and RILO II.
One of the things which should reset the ilo/rilo is to go into the control panel, open the HP management agents, make the remote insight info inactive, press ok and it should stop, then restart snmp and the agents. When you do this it should reset the ilo/rilo also.

The truth is out there, but I forgot the URL..
