Re: Resetting Administrative BIOS Password DL380 G3
Hello Robert,
Here is the information as to how to reset the BIOS PW:
System Maintenance Switch
Switch # Default Function
1 Off Off = iLO security is enabled.
On = iLO security is disabled.2
2 Off Off = System configuration can be changed.
On = System configuration is locked.
3 Off Reserved
4 Off Off = Booting from diskette is controlled by RBSU.
On = Booting from diskette is enabled and RBSU is overridden.
5 Off Off = Power-on password is enabled.
On = Power-on password is disabled.
6 Off Off = No function.
On = Clear NVRAM.
Note 2: You can disable iLO security through its BIOS setup (F-8). After disabling it, there will be a message at POST that the iLO is disabled and the F-8 prompt will not display. In order to re-enable it you have to check the switch settings (security override) on the system board for each unit. The security override switch will re-enable the F-8 Prompt at POST so that the user can go back in to re-enable the iLO. If you install a RIB or Rilo PCI card it will automatically disable the built in iLO.
Regards,

Hello Robert,
I have attached a document just in case it's not clear in my early posting:
