Retrieving HDD info
I just re-tasked a DL380 G6 with some help from here. Works pefectly. No this is not a home server build as someone suggested.
Now I have a pile of HP drives to populate the box. They were removed from production systems that were shut down. They are varying vintages. I believe the run-time and startup information is buried in the drive somewhere. I would like to sort the drives by use and put the best in these servers. I've looked at the ACU and iLo and don't seem to be able to find it.
Any suggestions will be greatfully accepted.

Re: Retrieving HDD info
Excellent, thank you.
Lots of data.
Is there a guide to decypher the report?
I am specifically iterested in determining things to determine the health of the drive, i.e. hours of run-time, spin count, error count. I do see some of these terms, however to me it is unclear whether they are pointers to someplace where the data resides of the actual info.
I'm going to write a quick progam to process the text file and compute a health index.
And thanks again, I appreciate the help.
