Rilo Support for non-HP/Compaq Servers

Folks I have been tasked to have Riloe cards installed on a couple of Sun v40 and v20 AMD Opteron servers. Although I know the Riloe cards are OS agnostic, are they also server hardware agnostic meaning they support other h/w besides HP/Compaq. Please advise. Thank you.

Re: Rilo Support for non-HP/Compaq Servers

Hi Terry,

The RILOEII is supported on some Netservers but I guess that's because they are HP products. I do remember getting one working on a "no-name" PC before without too much difficulty.

You won't be able to use the Virtual Power or Virtual Floppy/CD functionality because these rely on the unique 16/30pin cables to the system board connectors.

I guess you may have to try it and see.

I hope this helps.
