Rompaq-Installation on DL 380 G4 without an internal Floppy driv

Hi all,

I've got a BIG Problem.

One of our customers did a downgrade of the BIOS. The Bios is now the initial release, which does not support a Intel Xeon 3,0 GHz (800MHZ FSB, 1MB L2 Cache).

Now the System prints, that it will only boot Rompaq Utility.

But there is no floppy drive built in.

A USB Floppy drive doesn't work.
I thought to make a bootable cd from the floppy, but it doesn't work :-(

What way can I go to get a newer bios version on that machine??

Try to use iLO and virtual floppy - advanced iLo licence is needed.
