SA5300 in PCI-X 100

Hello,

we want to install a SA5302/64 in a DL380G3 (PCI-X 100/133MHz).

My question is: What is speed of PCI-Bus (64bit 33MHz or 66MHz)?

Thanks.

Re: SA5300 in PCI-X 100

Hi Malige,

The three PCI-X slots are divided among two PCI-X buses connected to the CIOB-X2 bus controller on IMB 1.
1. The first bus is a 64-bit, 133 MHz bus with one slot that is non-hot-pluggble.
2. The second bus is 64-bit, 100 MHz with two slots that are hot pluggable.
All slots support 3.3V, 64-bit cards.
Three additional buses are found in the DL380 G3 system. The CIOB-X2 on IMB 1 supports the embedded Smart Array 5i+ on one bus and the two NC7781 NICs on the other bus.
Both of these PCI-X buses operate at 100MHz.
The third 32-bit, 33MHz PCI bus connected to the south bridge bus controller supports the embedded the Integrated Lights Out (iLO) processor and the Rage XL video controller.

Hope this helps you !!!!

Re: SA5300 in PCI-X 100

Hi Malige,

The SA5304 works with the 66MHz with the DL380G3 server in the 64bit PCI-Bus 66MHz slot.

Hope this answers !!!!
