I am installing a HP ML370G4 with a SA6400 and Win2000 as an OS. When configuring the controller I have the option to enable or disable Maxboot. What setting is recommended with win2000 ?

Re: SA6400 configuration
Hi christos:
this is for the o/s partion options
- Max boot is good configurations.
that way you can set you Boot drive over 8 gig partion.

Re: SA6400 configuration
Hi,
I thinks this is what we are refering to.
While configuring the logical drive, one of the settings allows you to use
either 4 GB or 8 GB as the maximum boot drive size. Selecting 8 GB allows
a larger boot partition for operating systems such as Microsoft®
Windows NT® 4.0 that use cylinders, heads, and sectors of a physical drive to
determine the drive size. The larger boot drive size also lets you increase the
size of the logical drive at some later time. However, logical drive
performance is likely to decrease if the larger boot drive size is enabled.
Regards,
Prashan

Re: SA6400 configuration
Does this setting make a difference when installing the server with Windows 2000 Server ?
