SAS Hard Drive 3G and 6G question
I have a P410i controller, Raid 5 (6 x 300GB 6G DP Disks). If one of the disk fails and i put in a 300GB 3G DP Disk, will all the disks be forced to run at 3G or will the disk i inserted only run at 3G and all others run at 6G.
i know only 4x disks per sas port are supported.

Re: SAS Hard Drive 3G and 6G question
Hi Ian,
6G drives are completely interoperable with 3-Gb drives, but they will operate using the 3-Gb SAS channel.
For more details you can read the following technical update -
