SATA / DL320

Hi, Please could anyone let me know if a SATA disk will automatically rebuild in a DL320 with a SATA RAID 1 config when a faulty disk is replaced? Also does anyone know the easiest way of telling if a SATA disk has failed without using insight agents etc? (Im told there are no status LEDs?) Thanks for any help!

With dl320 g4, you can use the adaptec sata raid software to send an email, if hd brakes down:
