SBS 2003 fails on ML350G6 with Bluescreen

Hi,

the ML350G6 has got all up-to-date firmware.

Installation of MS Small Business Server 2003 DE fails with bluescreen:

Driver_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

STOP 0x000000D1 (0x00000000, 0x00000005, 0x0000000, 0xF739DEA3)

HPCISSS2.SYS

- with the actual SmartStart 8.30
- with older SmartStart CDs
- without SmartStart just loading the SA P410i driver
- without anything and using Window's drivers

Hi,

I opened the original HP Call 4605349867 9 days ago - no solution from HP yet.

(The installation went perfectly on a G5).

But I seem to have found the solution:

I integrated SP2 into the original SBS installation CD1 (which requires making a new boot CD).

The installation went without any problems on the G6 now.

Maybe there is a problem with MS Storeport stuff in SBS without SP.

hi,

what optional cards are installed in ur ml350 g6 ?

the hpcisss2.sys is belonging to the smart array p410i driver as u can see in the hp support document:

the resolution should be to use a microsoft hotfix:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/912944/en-us

but read the threads first plz

Hi,

thank you very much for your reply.

HP tried to suggest as well to install the MS hotfix.

But there is a slight problem to install a hotfix if you don't even manage to install Windows ...

But like mentioned above, integrating SP2 into the setup CD1 worked very well.
