SCSI Card Problems
I have a strange problem with our Proliant 800 servers. I have updated them to the most recent BIOS. I am trying to install a LSI Logic LSI8951U Ultra2 SCSI card. The system freezes after the LSI card runs its SCSI BIOS. If I try to enter the LSI configuration utility it freezes as well. I have tested the cards in another computer and don't have any trouble with them. I think that the cards are trying to treat the onboard SCSI as another symbios card and it is causing problems. Does anyone have some info on what I might do to get both the onboard controller and the LSI logic cards to work in the system.

Re: SCSI Card Problems
its probably a conflict between the compaq scsi driver (cpq32fs2.sys) and the symbios setup..i would try removing the compaq scsi driver and running just the standard generic scsi driver with NT/2000
