SCSI Controller Failure (slot 0)

I am monitoring a server using the Compaq Insight Manager and encountered one server with a "SCSI controller Failure (slot 0)" failure message. Checked the hard disk status and found out one is degraded. I have replaced the hard disk but rebuild would not continue. Had to system erase the server and re configure the array and restore from backup. After several days, failure message again appears and the replaced add again shows degraded status. What could be the real problem? Do I need to replaced the array controller or just the drive cage? Thank you

Re: SCSI Controller Failure (slot 0)

Try updating the firmware on the Smart Array and the drives . If problem continues in the same slot replace drive cage .
