SCSI Disk Upgrade - Working Server

Hi All;

I hope you can help me pls.

I have a DL380 G4 with 6 x 36GB 15K disks;

Disk 0 and 1: are configured for RAID 1 running Linux Red Hat
Disk 2,3,4 and 5 rae configured in RAID 5.

I would like to upgrade Disks 0 and 1 from 36GB to 72GB and Disks 2,3,4 and 5 from 36GB to 300GB.

I have the disks already but i dont now to to perform the upgrade. I read in some where that i just need to replace one disk at the time, wait until it is rebuilt and that is it, but i am not sure.

Can you share some light on this simple issue, pls.

thanks

Re: SCSI Disk Upgrade - Working Server

hi

basically is replacing one HDD at a time
replace the first one and wait for rebuild to Finnish repeat the same procedure for every HDD and after that expand the size using ACU so OS can recognize the new space
