SCSI Drive Issue

Hi
when i boot up my ml370 g2 it displays the hard drives (serial number etc). I only have 2 installed but it displays over 10.
What do i do because the second hard disk is unaccessable because of the issue?

Re: SCSI Drive Issue

Hi,

You get this type of error when the drive is set to SCSI ID 7 (same as controller).

The controller reports multiple reflections due to this. I think you do have a SCSI ID issue.

Re: SCSI Drive Issue

If these are hotplug drives, move them to other slots in the backplane or plug them in one by one to see which drive may be causing the problem.

If they are non hotplug drives check the SCSI ID jumpers on the back and that the cable doesn't have any bent pins.

There is a SCSI ID conflict somewhere.

Re: SCSI Drive Issue

ok i figured out it was drive 1 and i moved it to a different slot which didnt help. i press F8 on startup and it gives me two options. There is something about changing the reset status etc not too sure what it all means. got any tips on how to resolve this issue?
