SCSI assignement error

hi all,
I've a big problem since we're change 2 hard disk on our proliant ML 370.

The second hard disk is recognize, but not on the RAID 5 , only like a disk .. without configuration. The controler detect a SCSI ID 6 ??? see the picture.. How can I change that without rebuild the RAID...

Hi Socoboy,

Sorry, We couldn't change the SCSI id manually as they are assigned to the SCSI backplane slot.

Hard Drive id could not be changed, as they are assigned by the backplane, if you are facing a SCSI id change issue then the hdd replacement will not resolve the issue.
We need to perform the following steps :
1. Take the complete backup
2. Update the controller firmware to the latest.
3. Clean & refix the SCSI backplane
4. Check the status in ACU & if still issue persists then
5. Recreate the Array B.
6. If still issue persists then get the SCSI backplane replaced.

Most of the times the issue got resolved by Step 5.
