SCSI channels

Can anyone advise if I can daisy chain an internal SDLT drive that is cable to one of the 2 scsi motherboard ports with an external SDLT using the external scsi port?
I have in total 3 x SDLT drives in total and am using a 5300 smartarray for the disk array ctrl.
