SCU reports only 2 megs

I just noticed during a service call to my ML530 server that our 431 controller is only reporting 2 megs cache in the SCU. Does anyone else have similar instances of this. I would guess that it should show 16 megs.

Thanks in advance

Re: SCU reports only 2 megs

Another place to check would be the Array Configuration Utility...highlight the controller and click on properties. Keep in mind that this array controller has no battery-backed cache: (note: 16-MB of d-RAM used for code data and non-battery backed read cache). Also, when one sets up a logical drive with the Smart Array 431 controller, the controller reserves a small amount of disk space for data backup. The smart 431 controller is capable of using this disk space for online capacity expansion, online RAID level migration, and online stripe size migration. The Smart 431 controller can only allocate this drive space when creating the logical drive.
