SERVER WORK SLOW

Hi,sorry my english

first i have

a compaq PII 192mb scsi 4GB
novell 5 with support pack 6a
my aplication is a clipper software
my files - dbf?s : +- 100 files - 300 - 350 mb
to create the index files : +- 220 files - 150 mb my station work
40 minutes

now i have a server compaq ml 370 piii 2?generation 768mb scsi iii 18gb

I install a netware 5.0 with compaq smartstar 5.20 - mode automatic

I install support pack6a

the time is about 1h30 - 1h40 to the same procedure

my server is not bad because the same server with windows 2000 - smartstart
5.20 automatic
the same procedure = 9 minute

i try the same procedure with compaq ml 350 and the result is equal

please the problem is with netware or with compaq smartstar 5.20
