Hi all,
I had bought two 2nd HP DL360 Series 2.5" SFF Server
One is G5 and one is G6.
Since the original HP brand SAS/SATA is too high price for me (I am private using for learning my MCSE Cloud, and Hyper-V, so need more more RAM that PC can't give to me by a small box, it is why I buy the 2nd DL360 series).
Okay.
So I want to upgrade the HDD, now see the WD and HSGT have 1TB 2.5" HDD, but they are 9.5mm height, I am wonder do this type of HDD can plug in on above G5 and G6 SFF Server?
Of course I will buy two of them for RAID1.
And who using 3rd brand, any suggestion you like? WD or HGST on 5400 rpm or go for the 1TB HGST 7200rpm is better run on RAID1?
Thank you very much of the time and help.
Best Regards,
Jimmy Chan

Solutioni just installed 3 of these HSGT 1TB 7200rpm i think you are talkng about.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822145875
they are 9.5mm and fit easily in my DL380 G5, they could even be thicker and fit still I think. The 360 uses the same sleds, so you should be good.
they have decent specs for the price and have a 3 year warranty
i am putting them in RAID5
