SIM and blade enclosures

We have a blade enclosure with a BL20 and a couple of BL25 blade servers. Physically, we have 6 blade servers, however, when viewing the enclosure through SIM, it only displays two.

Re: SIM and blade enclosures

We had an engineer in on a seperate issue and he flashed the firmware to version 2.30. He also replaced 3 modules on the back of the enclosure (backplanes, can't remember which ones. With all this, still only 2 servers appear. I will try the link next.

Thanks.

Re: SIM and blade enclosures

Hi Mark,

Try the follwoing and check if this helps:

1) Goto ILO SNMP Settings and assign the IP address of the HP SIM server and the host Server for all Blade ilos.

2) Open the SNMP service properties and in the Traps tab specify the IP address of the HP SIM Server.

Hope this helps.
