SLES 11SP3 Installation on Dl360P Gen8 server

Hi,

I'm preparing to install SLES 11SP3 (64bit) on a DL360P Gen8 server and it's not clear to me if I can install the HP Care Packs and HP drivers from the intelligent privisioning of the server self (F10 at boot time??) or that I need an ISO file which should be run before the SLES installation. Any help is welcome. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Using F10, "Intelligent Provisioning" you can install an supported OS.

After installation, you need to update the drivers from SPP.

Hi Suman,

Thank you for  your response. Browsing the url you gave me I did find this file:

  psp-9.40.sles11.en.tar.gz

Is this the file I need to install after the SLES 11SP3 installation?

Hi,

From the SPP download page, http://www.hp.com/go/spp/download

You need to download the SPP which is "HP Service Pack for ProLiant (4.24 GB)"

PSP is older version of SPP.

By the way, to download BIOS and some firmware/drivers like SPP, one must have a valid warranty or contract for the server.
