Hi,
Can someone tell me if it' s possible to expand logical drives created on a SMART-2DH controller? If yes, how?
Kind regards,
Werner

Re: SMART-2DH controller
Hi Werner,
SMART-2DH is too old, but you can try it. You must use Smart Array Configuration utility from SmartStart or in operating system from Compaq tools menu. There you can see some buttons on the right side of screen. There must be buttons "Extend" for adding physical drives to existing raid and "Expand" for expand logical drive. For the first time you must add physical drive to RAID configuration and after this operation is complete, you can try use "Expand" button. If this buttnos i gray, your SMART controller does not support this function.
Best regards
Petr

Re: SMART-2DH controller
Hi,
Is it possible to extend logical drives consisting of disks with a certain disk size with disks with another size? For example, is it possible to extend an existing logical drive (RAID 5) consisting of 4 disks of 9.1 GB with two disks of 2.1 GB?
Kind regards,
Werner
