SNMP trap for local hard disk failure sent to ILO

I want to get alerts on hard disk failures.

ILO by default, monitors hardware - fan, temperature, power, CPU, memory, NICs only.

Can Insight Management agents be set up to generate an SNMP trap, then forward that to the ILO? Then the ILO can forward that trap to HP NNM, OVO etc.

Several high-end techies have said that it should work, but no-one can show me.

Other techies say that hard disks are on controllers connected to the PCI bus, and the O/S will only be presented with a logical disk.

Equipment: Servers are DL360/380 G5, ILO-2, Windows 2003
Disk controllers - Smart Array E200i
Drive Type: SAS

Thanks!!
